Manage low to medium risk procurement projects for equipment, products and services and ensure positive outcomes to meet client and stakeholder objectives.
Provide guidance and liaise with key stakeholders to ensure risk and probity requirements are addressed
Provide advice relating to Procurement and contract management matters
Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients, vendors and staff to ensure procurement services
Assist in the development and improvement of procurement frameworks
Assist with the procurement reporting functions of the Department
What you will need to be successful
Experience required/desirable
- MUST HAVE prior experience in Procurement, preferably within Government in the ICT or Goods and Services sectors
- Demonstrated experience in providing effective leadership and direction in relation to strategic procurement practices and issues
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills, in communicating with staff, management and executives
- Demonstrated ability to consult and interact with external organizations
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking multiple procurement activities from start to finish
- Must be open to undertaking security vetting if eligible for the role
