Aps6 Management Accountant

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Management Accountant at the APS6 level. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you'll provide vital support and expertise in financial management, focusing on budget performance and forecasting. Your role involves strategic financial advice and fostering key stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly cost center and Executive Board financial reports, with analysis and projections.
• Provide system accounting expertise through finance business partnering.
• Coordinate internal budgeting and support external Commonwealth budget cycles.
• Offer costing advice for New Policy Proposals (NPPs) and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills:

• CPA/CA/CIMA qualification.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
• Prior experience in Commonwealth budgeting processes desirable.

Eligibility:

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
• Membership in relevant accounting bodies or working towards it.
• Baseline security clearance required (or ability to obtain).
