$60 ph + Super for a 12-month Contract ASAP Start Your new company Our client is a Federal Government Agency and you will be working within the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch supporting the business areas by providing corporate, procurement and property services. The procurement team is responsible for partnering with business areas to procure goods and services for the Agency. We focus on applying the Commonwealth Procurement and policy to ensure value for money outcomes. Your new role Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Working collaboratively with business areas as a procurement business partner to establish appropriate procurement methodologies, preparing a range of procurement documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts
Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management system
Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks
Contributing to procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency
Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes that contribute to better social and economic outcomes for people with disabilities
Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team
Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs and maintaining team cohesion
What you'll need to succeed Your new role is a team membership position that may require you to perform work that involves team leadership and management responsibilities requiring the setting of priorities and managing the workflow of a team. The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgement to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions. You will also be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the Agency's objectives. What you'll get in return
