The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has an opportunity to do exactly that as a member of the Technical Advice and Practice Improvement Branch (TAPIB).The TAPIB sits within the Operations, Performance and Capability Division in Service Delivery. The TAPIB provides consistent and high-quality technical and clinical subject matter expertise advice across the Agency to identify and deliver Practice Improvement opportunities for our stakeholders that improves participants outcomes and experience.Practice Improvement Officer
The APS6 Practice Improvement Officer will be responsible for improving practice by engaging with stakeholders to establish, monitor, evaluate and support initiatives and projects, facilitating the consistent delivery of quality outcomes.Research
The APS6 Research Officer will be responsible for conducting and managing tactical research relating to advice provision and research to support projects and initiatives across the Branch and Agency.Where you can add valueThese roles involves the management and oversight of activities including:Practice Improvement Officer
  • Excellent project coordination and support skills required to assist in the scoping, delivery and reporting of projects.
  • Ability to engage with key stakeholders across the Branch and Agency.
  • Strong organisational, communication and multitasking skills to handle various administrative tasks and support project managers in achieving project goals.
Research
  • Conducting tactical Research and analysis that involve atypical, complex or escalated issues.
  • Manage team workflow, reporting and analysis.
  • Engaging with Branch leadership to support the achievement of strategic objectives through the provision of research.

As these roles involve a high level of detail, you will be able to shift your focus from one project to the next, sometimes at short notice. You will be able to maintain a high level of leadership, even when strict time restraints are in place. Time management, flexibility and agility skills are a must in this role.Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to NDIS Act.

While this role is ideally performed from VIC - Geelong, SA - Adelaide, NSW - Paramatta, QLD - Brisbane, remote working arrangements may be considered.
