Organisational context
The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) is responsible for managing the application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws through the delivery of high-quality personal insolvency and trustee, regulation and enforcement, and personal property securities services.
The Technology Services Division is responsible for delivering and managing a range of services that support the Australian Financial Security Authority’s purpose through partnering with business divisions that regulate Australia’s personal insolvency and personal property securities programs. The division provides professional services and leadership that promotes the efficient and effective operations of the agency whilst ensuring compliance with commonwealth legislation, polices and guidelines and promoting integrity, accountability, and transparency.
Purpose of the position
Provide Application Support to Business Applications clients by providing information and solutions to service requests and reported incidents. Implement a BAU support model for transition of services into a BAU environment.
Accountabilities
- Provide support to the Power Apps suite, in particular, SharePoint Online and 365 administration and management.
- Provide support in configuration of out-of-the-box capabilities of Office 365 and SharePoint for document management, collaboration, workflow, forms, and search.
- Assist in the deployment and testing of Office365 and SharePoint solutions.
- Power Apps and Power Automate
- Develop policy documents and business processes to support the transition of services into a BAU environment.
- Undertake initial assessment and resolution of requests and incidents in accordance with established service levels and identify and escalate more complex activities for further investigation in accordance with ICT escalation model.
- Report to and liaise with key technical stakeholders and business owners of applications regarding business processes, policy and service delivery.

Provides specialised professional advice, guidance and business partnering for the benefit of assisting business lines with informed and enhanced decision making.
Qualifications, accreditations, and experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or similar.
- At least 2 years' experience with the maintenance and support of Microsoft SharePoint and the Microsoft Power Platform, e.g. PowerApps, Power Automate etc.
- Proven ability to identify and analyse client needs and extract, interpret and format information using technological solutions appropriate to the business needs.
- Ability to think creatively to devise customisations and uses for SharePoint with demonstrated experience in developing new PowerApps model and canvas driven apps and understanding of PowerApps formulas and development methods.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well as SQL Server, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerShell, and Office 365.
- Knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
- Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent experience is highly desirable
- Microsoft certification is highly desirable
