A great opportunity for an experienced Strategic Communications officer to join this busy team for a long term 12-month temporary assignment.
The APS6 Strategic Communications Officer is a team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. The role is required to provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team membership within the work area.
Responsibilities include: • Demonstrating exceptional organisation skills and high attention with all detail.
• Championing plain English and ensure all collateral is accessible and aligns with the Agency style and branding guidelines.
• Leading through example, serving as a trusted communications expert, helping key internal stakeholders and business partners deliver the objectives of each project.
• Drafting clear, concise and effective messaging for different audiences, including creation of talking points and speeches
• Contributing towards the development and delivery of different communications plans, progressing approvals and coordination of go-live collateral.
• Identifying and developing important internal stakeholder relationships, addressing and resolving any emerging challenges with stakeholders.
• Evaluating the impact of communications, identifying any future learnings and determining whether the identified objectives for each project have been achieved.
• Supporting team members with administration, technical and procedural tasks.

$60.26 per hour + Super
