Our client is seeking to engage an APS6/EL1 Project Support Officer.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: 6 months with option to extend up to 6 months
Eligibility/Security Requirement: Applicants must have an active NV1 Clearance
Statement of Work:
The project manages the NJCOP, which is a near real time situational awareness platform. The team coordinates stakeholder input to ensure the platform is fit for purpose for Executive and for stakeholders, both internal and external, to support impact analysis and decision making. This project is in the third of four years, and the future focus is on expanding automated analysis capability. The Agency has a services agreement with the Department of Home Affairs who deliver the technical aspects of the platform. This team will soon expand and be responsible for other branch related projects.
With assistance from the NJCOP / project team, advance the following work:
- Identify user, business and technical priorities
- Engage with stakeholders to assist in determining the data layers required for the NJCOP
- Secretariat and Governance for the NJCOP Steering Committee and other governance meetings
- Engage with external stakeholders to initiate user/agency access
- Regularly review user access list and request removal of users no longer requiring access
- Escalate user access and IT issues
- Identify and communicate NJCOP user training requirements
- Advanced priorities such as the development of analytics within the NJCOP
- Assist with other project work to support branch priorities.
- Experience within formal Australian government project delivery (IT projects an advantage)
- Strong engagement and writing skills
- Able to work as part of a team and independently, adaptable, good time management
- Qualifications in or studying Project Management; Geospatial or data skills; Experience with project governance (secretariat).
