The Role
We have exciting opportunities for suitably experienced professionals who are interested contributing to the delivery of national security and intelligence capabilities for Defence. As an ISR Project Officer in DDG, supporting an EL1 Project Manager, you will contribute to the delivery of cutting edge technology and dive into the world of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and geospatial intelligence systems. We are seeking applications from motivated professionals who have experience in one or more of the following – Project Support, corporate support, finance, procurement, contracting – to fill multiple exciting roles in project teams delivering ISR or Geospatial Intelligence ICT projects for the Australian Defence Force.
About our Team
An APS6 Project Officer supports the Project Director and Team, providing high level project and administrative expertise across multiple project management functions. These key positions report to the respective Project Manager in the Integration and Automation Delivery Branch within the Defence Digital Group (DDG). Working within DDG, you will be contributing your expertise to some of the most technically demanding and complex ICT transformation projects.

As an APS6 Project Officer, you will:
- Have the flexibility to work across a variety of project functions including (but not limited to): reporting, scheduling, secretariat, change and configuration management, information and records management, procurement and contract management, governance, risk management, asset and GFX management, communication and stakeholder management;
- Have high-level organisational skills, self-drive and initiative with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise competing deadlines and deliver agreed business outcomes within a complex environment;
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to represent the project in meetings and provide reports on project status and achievements;
- Have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and productively as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
- Represent the project and branch at relevant working groups or meetings; and
- Have a commitment to ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
