The Role
We are seeking a leader and coordinator to manage and drive aquatic programs at Tobruk Memorial Pool. The responsibility of the Aquatics Services Coordinator is to lead and manage our Swim School and aquatic programs. You will be passionate about providing an outstanding guest experience for our members and you will ensure that all areas of our programs are well organised and coordinated.
The Aquatics Services Coordinator will provide leadership and direction to all aquatic staff and ensure delivery of aquatics services to the highest standard possible.
This role requires leadership during peak program periods which include mornings, afternoons and weekends. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
ESSENTIAL:
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
- First Aid Certificate
- Ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner
- Ability to liaise with staff and train them
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Prior experience with system database
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills and personal service ethic
- High levels of personal organisation and composure under pressure
HIGHLY REGARDED:
*Whilst these skills and qualifications are highly regarded, the required training and development may be offered to the right candidate without these.
- Swim Teacher of swimming and water safety (or equivalent)
- Swim Teacher of Infant and Pre-School Aquatics (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Aquatic education
- Minimum 2-3 years’ Learn to Swim teaching experience
- Minimum 12 months experience in a supervisory role
- Swim Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming
