The role
Reporting to the Credit Manager, this full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract role will enable you to become part of a close-knit Credit team, able to start immediately. You will be responsible for the end-to-end Credit Control, managing your own large ledger and the collection of overdue accounts via outbound collections, whilst providing outstanding customer service to approximately 300-500 corporate and smaller SME accounts.
You will also be a key point of contact with account managers and customer service. After the training phase, there is provision for the role to be based at home 1 day p/w.
The role will suit someone who is passionate about collections and loves to smash down their own ledger! The role will be comprised of;
Duties
- Managing large number of National + small accounts
- Manage ledger of approx. $4-5m
- Creating new accounts
- Ascertaining credit viability of customers
- Outbound Collections calls
- Minimise debt write off
- Assisting customer service with disputed accounts
- Credit queries
- Stop supply
- Weekly and monthly credit reporting
- Issuing of account statements
- Raising credit notes/returns
Skills & experience
The successful candidate will have a proven collections ability and maintain a minimum of 3-5 years in a full function Credit position. Candidates with Manufacturing, Logistics or FMCG experience would be ideal, however candidates from other industries are also encouraged to apply.
You will maintain excellent written/verbal communications skills, be naturally motivated and an ability to build successful internal/external relationships.
