As an Area Manager, SMP required for a major brownfields Iron Ore plant in the Pilbara. Your role will entail upholding the exceptional standard of services delivered by our project teams thus far, while also fortifying relationships with our valued Customer to propel portfolio growth.

What you'll do
The role responsibilities include:
- Work in partnership with the Project leadership group and the SMP team to ensure that a safe system to work is in place during construction.
- Provide strong HSE leadership to develop a mature and strong safety culture.
- Provide clear and focussed leadership for the project team to create a vision for project success and a delivery strategy to fit that vision.
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the designated scope.
- Proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues minimizing their impact on the project.
- Oversee and direct the major contracts for the area and act as the Technical Representative.
- Ensure that all design deliverables and free issue materials are delivered in accordance with the Area schedule.
- Drive the continuous improvement processes to improve Surface performance outcomes engaging the "Full Potential" objectives on the project.
- Effective management of multiple stakeholders.
What you'll have
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:
- Exceptional people management skills with a track record of developing teams, enhancing employee engagement, and optimizing team performance.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualification in civil or mechanical engineering.
- Previous experience as an Area Manager overseeing similar large-scale mining EPCM projects.
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
