About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists within the Equipment & Fleet Division for an experienced Armoury Asset Support Officer to work in a dynamic and highly motivated team within the Armoury Branch at Victoria Police.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Armoury Asset Support Officer will be responsible for the logistical tracking and distribution of accountable equipment throughout Victoria.
Working in a small team this role involves recording and tracking of accountable equipment in an asset management system ensuring information is accurate and in line with the Branch's maintenance schedule. The role involves manual handling in accordance with relevant legislation. This role requires excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders and strong organisational skills. This position is situated in Inner City Melbourne.
This role is part of the Equipment & Fleet Division, which is responsible for the delivery of a range of critical operational services to ensure Victoria Police is equipped to perform the required duties. This includes the management and provision of firearms, uniform, equipment, and vehicles to operational members, as well as delivering corporate strategic projects.

Your duties will include:
Maintain asset management systems for various equipment used by Victoria Police, including the accurate recording of asset movements to across the state of Victoria.
Undertake the administration associated with maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment.
Participate in the periodical and / or adhoc stocktake of Victoria Police accountable equipment including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Undertake accountabilities associated with the manual handling and movement of accountable equipment in compliance with relevant legislations.
Assist in the preparation of logistics plans.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
Knowledge or experience of recording maintenance activities in an asset management system.
Demonstrated experience with safe manual handling practices and high level of understanding of Health and Safety principals.
Demonstrated experience using computers, related logistics technology or basic software programs to undertake audits, receipting and data entry activities.
High level of communication skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to establish working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and team members.

This position is located in Melbourne - Inner City.
