We are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in a diverse role that combines arts administration, event coordination, technical support, and curatorial assistance. You will work with peers and patrons to deliver a variety of cultural experiences within our facilities, through contemporary and progressive culturally based programming.
You will deliver high-quality customer and visitor services, supporting the daily operations of Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) our art space for digital exhibitions, workshops and performances. As the face of MAP mima, you will warmly welcome visitors and professionally handle inquiries. Leveraging your production skills, you will be the point of contact for events and troubleshooting in our projection space, ensuring smooth operations. As part of the Arts, Culture and Tourism converge team you will act as a Cultural Experiences Officer collaborating with and supporting front of house operations at the Museum of Art and Culture yapang or other venues.

Conditions of Employment include:
- May operate across departmental service delivery, Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm
- Primarily located at MAP mima in Speers Point Park with some shifts at the Museum of Art and Culture yapang
LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
If you are good with people, approachable, and outgoing, this is a fantastic opportunity to work at our state-of-the-art multimedia facility. We are seeking candidates with experience in customer service within art galleries, cultural facilities or performance venues. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with ease are essential. Additionally, proficiency in various software applications used in the arts and Events industry and a demonstrated interest in contemporary art is desirable. You will bring:
- Certificate III or equivalent (for example: Arts Administration, Library & Information Studies, Customer Service)
- Proven service delivery experience
- Ability to work weekends, school holidays and evening events. MAP mima is open to the public Fridays, Saturday and Sundays 9am – 2pm in Winter, with additional Friday evenings in Summer and Wednesdays and Thursdays in School Holidays.
- Proven experience in contributing to delivering a diverse range of community services and activities and programs/events (i.e. music, arts, literacy, technology, heritage)
