Lismore City Council is dedicated to building a vibrant and active community. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Events Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of various events within our community.
As Events Officer you will be responsible for assisting with documents for timelines, marketing plans, project management plans, and risk assessments for all Council-owned events. You will also coordinate events, provide event support and advice to external organisers, manage and deliver events, and conduct post-event evaluations.
You will be working full time, 35 hours a week and will and will be primarily based at the Gordon Pavilion at Oakes Oval.

What we trust you to deliver
- Assist with documentation for event timelines, marketing, project management, and risk assessments.
- Provide support and advice to external event organisers.
- Liaise with Council staff on regulatory matters related to events.
- Support the Events and Facilities Coordinator during peak times.
- Update event social media pages and liaise with the Media and Community Relations Coordinator.
What you'll need to be successful
- Certificate IV or equivalent qualification with 2 years of experience in a similar role within an events environment.
- Current Class C Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated high-level customer service experience.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including word processing and maintaining corporate records.
