About the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Events & Festivals, you will:
- Support the Events & Festivals team by providing advice and assistance to Council staff and stakeholders in organising events.
- Assist with the preparation of budget reports for events and associated functions.
- Aid in the planning, implementation, and regular reporting on events and functions.
- Collaborate closely with the Team Leader of Events & Festivals to ensure the delivery of high-quality events on behalf of Council.
- Support the coordination of event related activities in line with Council guidelines.
About You
A positive, and proactive approach, our ideal candidate brings the ability to take initiative and work collaboratively within a team environment, including both internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, you will bring:
- A solid understanding of events and related functions.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a diverse client group at all levels, maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Sensitivity to and awareness of cultural diversity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A thorough understanding of protocol requirements.
- Strong ability to relate to and communicate with individuals at all levels within the community.
- Experience in forward planning, setting goals, and achieving them.
- The capability to set priorities and respond proactively to issues within your area of responsibility.
- Experience in event production and management.
What’s on offer
This is a term contract opportunity up to May 2025.
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $80,284 to $88,414 plus 11.5% superannuation.
