About theRole:
TheSenior Communications Adviser will contribute to thedepartment’s world-leading ambition by partnering withbusiness units to develop engaging communications and content for awide range of projects and initiatives.
Keyresponsibilities:
- Provide expert communications services and advice, under limited direction.
- Develop and deliver communications strategies and plans for a range of audiences and internal and external channels.
- Create engaging, well-written and high-quality content.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities against outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with business units and the broader communications team to proactively identify opportunities, mitigate risk and resolve issues.
- Contribute to the operations of a busy communications team, working autonomously across multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced and politically sensitive environment.
Thesuccessful candidate will be a Senior Communications or publicrelations specialist who has exceptional writing and projectmanagement skills, a flair for producing results-drivencommunications and high-level interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
Desirable:Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, publicrelations or related discipline and/or relevant experience in theseareas.
SpecialConditions:
Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.

Remuneration:
ASO6$97,022 - $102,626 per annum (1.0 FTE), plussuperannuation
