We have an ongoing opportunity for an experienced engineer to work with our Asset Planning Team in a full-time position based in Warrnambool.We're looking for someone to assist in forward planning and system performance reviews of our water and sewerage systems. A key component of the role is to provide expert advice to internal stakeholders, business leads, consultants, developers and other industry professionals in water and sewerage infrastructure.This position comes with a generous salary of $96,568 to $107,722 p.a. plus superannuation.Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doingOn a day-to-day basis, you'll:
- Review the performance of existing systems and recommend system improvements/augmentations to include in strategic and action plans, including adaptation of climate change impacts.
- Provide technical support and information to customers, consultants, property developers and agency partners.
- Develop new and update existing computer simulation models of water and sewerage systems.
- Prepare budget estimates of works and business cases to include in the capital investment plan.
- Qualifications in engineering, diploma, or degree.
- High organisational skills, an analytical approach, and the ability to visualise and strive for innovative solutions.
- Two to five years' experience in water and sewerage planning, design and development is desirable.
- Experience using software packages including AutoCAD, Infoworks and eWater Source is desirable.
- High-level documentation and reporting skills.
