About the Role:
We are seeking an Asset Manager who will oversee numerous renewable energy assets on behalf of RES clients.This role will ensure adherence to best practices for safety, compliance, quality and environmental performance, whilst maximising revenue and improving asset value for clients and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Manage mobilisation and transitional tasks for projects in the RESA Asset Management portfolio.
- Draft and review annual business plans for assets, seeking improvement opportunities.
- Compile and regularly review asset risk registers.
- Ensure delivery of key project documents as per the Asset Management Agreement
- Take responsibility for client relationships and serve as the main contact.
- Efficiently deploy RES resources on projects, ensuring work fulfilment within the AMA scope
- Coordinate EPC Contractor Defects project management, including commercial and technical review.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, along with project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate day-to-day performance of operating assets, including emergency response and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain project management tools and records, ensuring accuracy and organisation.
- Manage projects' obligations under the National Electricity Rules and other compliance requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance.
- Foster strong community relations in project localities and manage stakeholder payments.
- Prepare internal and external project reports accurately and timely.
- Serve as a role model to discourage risk-taking behaviours across the business
- Familiarity with renewable energy operations.
- Experienced in asset management roles, handling complex projects from initial operations phase.
- Proficient in managing client relationships and commercial aspects of renewable energy operations.
- Skilled in budget preparation, business planning, and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with engineering concepts and extensive contracts management.
- Knowledgeable about the National Electricity Markets and National Energy Market.
- Competent in contractor management and health, safety, and environmental systems.
- Expertise in contract management and commercial negotiations.
- Effective team leadership and collaboration skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and exemplary professionalism, especially in dealings with Equity and Board Management.
- Ability to solve problems, combine technical analysis with commercial acumen, and provide recommendations for senior executives.
- Graduate Engineering, Science, Business/Law, Finance or other related degree, Masters preferred.
