About the Role
With our recent acquisition of both Daunia and Blackwater Mines, we are seeking an experienced Asset Specialist to provide equipment subject matter expertise and be the owner of asset strategies and improvement initiatives for Mobile Equipment across the Whitehaven Group based either in Brisbane or Newcastle.
What You’ll Do
- Governance an implementation of the Asset Strategies for Mobile Equipment
- Oversee Strategy Optimisation for Mobile Equipment to improve equipment performance by completing asset health reviews, working with OEMs on reliability improvement and governing equipment strategies
- Accountable for development of Mobile Equipment life cycle plans and analysis
- Accountable for the governance and development of Mobile Equipment Asset Standards
- Provide Defect Elimination support for operations to improve equipment performance, reduce waste and variability and optimise cost
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and management or an appropriate discipline and / or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrable skills and experience with strategic asset management and implementation of leading practice
- Demonstrated maintenance and operational support experience.
- Optimise productivity and quality targets through utilising Engineering knowledge and cooperating with multi-disciplinary teams highlight areas of improvement.
- Demonstrable balance between theoretical mechanical engineering and practical system maintenance, operations and management
- Proactively identifies, mitigates or escalate risks
- Drivers Licence – Class C
