ABOUT THE FIRM

KCL Business Services Pty Ltd is an established accounting firm based in the heart of Surry Hills providing accounting / taxation and administrative services for a diverse range of companies across numerous industries. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are growing strongly and seeking an energetic and passionate accountant to join our team. The ideal applicant has an eye for detail and is passionate and experienced in Accounting, Australian Taxation law and developing client relationships.

Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, are an absolute must, this role will require the day to day interaction with both clients and our team of accountants, interns and tax agents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will be to join an already established team with your duties including:

• Data Entry (Daily)
• Payroll and Related payment preparation (Fortnightly / Monthly)
• Bank reconciliations 
• Month and year end reconciliation
• Preparation and processing of tax returns for individuals, Partnerships, Companies, Sole Traders and Trusts
• BAS and IAS Preparation
• General Office Administration

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a public practice environment with strong tax and business services experience.

To be successful you will possess:

• Strong understanding of Australian Taxation legislation and accounting principles
• Relevant Accounting qualifications
• Detailed knowledge and experience in Xero
• Sound knowledge of MYOB / Handisoft.
• Intermediate level in Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Hardworking and focussed individual with a strong attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
