Assistant Accountant (Accounting)

Daily Living Products is a locally owned, family business. We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to support our accounting and financial operations on a full-time basis at our head office in Bayswater.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Fortnightly processing payroll.
- Staff timesheet management.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure invoices are accurate, verified, processed and issued in a timely manner.
- Check and ensure invoices generated to customers are paid in accordance with payment terms including review of suppliers’ statements and check discrepancies.
- Manage a variety of data for daily, weekly and monthly transactions.
- Attend to enquiries from internal and external customers.
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliations.
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and process improvements.
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Degree qualification in accounting or near completion and one to two years accounting experience.
- Sound knowledge / experience of reconciliations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – intermediate/advanced skills in Excel.
- Results-orientated with the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
