About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Accountant working to assist the Finance department by completing a range of financial duties including banking and sales, accounts payable, data entry, and end-of-month closing.
The diverse role will encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Completing sales and bank reconciliation Liasing with banks and other relevant organisations
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Processing credit card reconciliations
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to the board
- Preparing tax returns Month-end accruals and adjusting entries
- Asisting in the formulation of accounting and financial policies
- Processing supplier invoices and Coding specific to cost coding requirements
- Work on month-end balance sheet reconciliations and respond to queries
- Tracking and reviewing the business' income and expenditures as well as operational costs
- Accounting system support and data cleanse exercises Assisting with other business and maintaining finance systems
About you
We are looking for a cheerful, driven, and passionate team player to join our team! If you have the following skills then we’d love to meet you!
- At least 2 years’ experience working in the same or a similar role is desirable
- High-level numeric skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration and/or completion of a recognised accounting program preferred
- Sound computing skills – experience working with ERP systems is an advantage
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to plan and organise work schedule and work within tight timelines
- Being able to work in a team
- Confidence to speak up for the benefit of the group
- Ability to adjust communication style for different audiences

Summary of role requirements:

- Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
