SalaryOur client based near Fremantle is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a Part-Time Contract basis for 6 months.
Responsibilities:
- Record and process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
- Proven 3+ years experience working as an Assistant Accountant
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting and work towards CPA qualification or CA qualification
- Systems experience with MYOB, SAP or other
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using accounting packages
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
