About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to get exposure to an ASX listed company with global operations. You will be joining the finance team in our global head office in Melbourne.
The Assistant Accountant will support the Senior Financial Accountants with all the accounting, taxation and reporting requirements for the Australian and overseas companies in the group.

Key responsibilities
The roles and responsibilities include:
- Maintaining full Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes including data entry, raising invoices, and invoice management and reporting
- Time sheet management including time sheet governance and ensuring time sheets are completed and approved in a timely manner
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, journals and reporting.
- Supporting month end processes and reporting, including journals, cost adjustments, accruals, prepayments, payroll checks, and cash reporting.
- Supporting the sales and delivery teams by providing accurate and timely project reporting.
- Assisting with half year and full year audits.
- Provide general support and completing ad hoc projects across the team, and providing back-up, as required.
What we’re looking for
- Experience as an accountant / graduate accountant within industry or public practice.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or relevant tertiary qualification
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Collaborative and flexible team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 skills
- Experience with ERP / accounting software programs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated and passionate about making a tangible difference in a global organization.
