Your new company
Is a Global Oil and Gas business based in Perth's Southern Suburbs. This position is a newly created role within the team due to the fast growth of the business both locally and internationally. You will work in a team of 4 and report to the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for the full accounting duties across the companies' various entities.
Your new role
- Responsible for AR and AP processing (including PO's and Credit Cards).
- Prepare and process the monthly payroll, including timesheets, with our outsourced payroll provider.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including bank accounts.
- Preparation and posting of journals, including intercompany and consolidation.
- Assist with monthly management and financial reporting.
- Proactive in ensuring good internal control and continuous improvement.
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Finance (or similar) and have previous experience and training in an Assistant Accountant position. You will be working towards or willing to start your CPA/CA qualification. You will be self-motivated, a strong communicator and have excellent problem-solving skills. Experience in a public practice accounting firm is desirable, but not essential.
