Due to an internal promotion, an Assistant Accountant position is available based at Mercedes Benz Toowong. In this role, you will be responsible for accounting, administration and banking functions across several brands. The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, effective organisational skills, and a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Vehicle sales processing and reporting
- Processing vehicle invoices including wholesales
- Daily banking and customer refunds/payouts
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Documents scanning
- Provide assistance to the Financial Controller and Dealership Accountant
- Data entry
- Filing and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Excel, Office, accounting software and databases
- Tertiary qualification in accounting will be preferred or currently studying towards a degree
- Demonstrate some knowledge in banking functions
- High attention to detail
- Strong communication and administration skills
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Dealership experience preferred but not essential
