The Opportunity
  
Our client is seeking an Assistnat Building Surveyor to join their Brisbane team. This role would be a hybrid position with ability to work from home 2 days per week and adopt a mature approach to managing project requirements and outcomes. There is also a relocation package on offer for the right candidate if you are looking to move from interstate and capitalise on Brisbane's booming project market.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing, approving and reviewing building works on existing and new buildings.
• Shadowing senior team members to learn and develop through the position
• Conducting onsite inspections during the building process, ensuring the construction meets compliance, is structurally sound, energy efficient, accessible and able to be safely occupied.
• Conducting pre-purchase inspections of buildings, audit for accessibility, and document and report on breaches and altered plans.

• Prior strong experience as a Cadet Building Surveyor with proven experience.
• Detailed understanding of statutory requirements and regulations of Queensland, in addition to the National Construction Code and associated Australian Standards.
• Tertiary qualification in Building surveying
• Residential AND / OR Commercial experience would be considered for the right candidate
