Supporting the Co-ordinator of Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in providing high quality service consistent with all aspects of the National Quality Framework you will be working with children aged from 5-12 years.
Key tasks include:
- Assisting in the co-ordination of After School/vacation care during both school term and non term time
- Supporting the development of current and future programs which may include a before school offering
- Acting as the responsible person and "acting up" as the Co-ordinator as required
- Taking an active role in staff meetings to discuss the needs of families and students
- Leading the planning of students' learning and relevant records/documentation
- Having a thorough knowledge of relevant WHS information
- An appropriate qualification - Diploma in Children's Services OR Certificate III/IV in School Age Education and Care or equivalent
- Solid "hands on" experience in the OSHC sector with the capacity to act as the Responsible Person in Charge of the service
- Current certificates for First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management
- Excellent written/verbal communication and solid IT skills
- Experience working with children aged from 5-12 years.
