We are seeking an Assistant Centre Director who will be able to support the nominated supervisor in managing the day to day operations of a long day care service, in line with centre policies and procedures. This role will form a part of our leadership team and will work across all rooms of the centre supporting and assisting our educators with their programming.
In this position you will work as a part of the leadership team with time allocated off the floor for mentoring, planning and research. You would also spend time planning monthly programming meetings where discussions can occur to ensure the planning cycle is exceeding throughout the service.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Diploma or advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
- Employee Working With Children’s Check
- Regulatory approved First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Child Protection training
- Red Nose and Food safety training (willingness to obtain)
- Experience in a similar role or Leadership role.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills,
- Flexibility to work within the operational hours of an education and care service Monday to Friday
- Highly developed Professional Standards
- Understanding of the Early Years Learning and Development Framework
- Understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Passionate in achieving the high quality outcomes for children, families
- Knowledge of CCS, Qikkids & Kindyhub.
