The Library is seeking to fill the role of Assistant Director, Knowledge Management (EL 1) on a non-ongoing basis from 1 August 2024 until 1 July 2025.
The Role
Lead independently within the Section, collaborating closely with the Director, Knowledge & Website Management and stakeholders across the Library. The role provides expert advice, developing innovative strategies, and implementing solutions as part of establishing the Library’s Digital Workspace.
You'll drive continuous improvement, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure compliance with legal and procedural standards, making a substantial impact on how Library workers interact with their operational information.
We are seeking candidates with strong leadership capabilities, strategic vision, strong analytical skills, and stakeholder engagement, who will demonstrate autonomy and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
As the Assistant Director, Knowledge Management will gain comprehensive experience in leading Knowledge Management strategies, optimising the Library’s Digital Workspace, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving organisational innovation and improvement initiatives.
The Opportunity
This role is only available to ongoing National Library of Australia and APS employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (Acting) opportunity from 1 August 2024 to 1 July 2025.
The preferred applicant will be required to be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
