Salary Range: $121,389 - $130,392 (PN: 66405)
The Suburban Land Agency (SLA) is seeking a self-driven person for the position of Assistant Director, Cyber and Data Governance. This is a is a newly established position within SLA.
The role focuses on enhancing cyber security resilience and data maturity across SLA using the existing cyber and data uplift workplans.
It is a 2-year term position aimed at early-mid career applicants with an ICT background.
Collaborates with SLA and ACT Government staff to strategically influence cyber security and data practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Cyber-related tasks:
- Drives SLA’s Cyber Security Capability Uplift Project and related Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Manages cyber security risk centrally by implementing effective risk management processes.
- Raises awareness of cyber security issues within SLA.
- Provides recommendations to mitigate risk.
- Coordinates cyber security incident response.
Data-related tasks:
- Improves Data Governance and management practices across SLA.
- Drives SLA’s Data Maturity Uplift and implements a Data Governance Framework.
Other tasks:
- Provides ICT-related advice to SLA business areas.
- Engages with SLA Executive and directorates on Digital Transformation, cyber security, and data matters.
- The Assistant Director will work with the Director, Cyber Security, and stakeholders across SLA and the ACT Government, using ACT Government policies and standards.
Eligibility/Other Requirements: No mandatory requirements, but the evaluation will examine relevant experience in the ICT, cyber, data domains.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for two years. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position will be moving to a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
