The Business Services and Support Branch (BSSB) provides advice and support to the Department on a range of workplace services, including property and facilities management, office services, protective security management, and information and records management.
The Protective Security team supports Finance’s functions and objectives by providing specialist, technical protective security advice, services and support to help protect Finance’s People, Property, Information and Reputation, consistent with the whole-of-government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Assistant Director, Insider Threat Program (InTP) role is a new function and is responsible for supporting Finance’s Director, InTP to develop, implement and manage the department’s InTP capability, consistent with the prevailing threat environment and risk profile. Finance is adopting a staged InTP implementation strategy, initially establishing a small technical specialist Cadre to establish Finance’s InTP governance framework and capability requirements. The InTP function will be supported by a multi-disciplinary Planning & Implementation (P&I) team during the initial development stage.
Finance’s InTP capability will be further developed post January 2025, with additional staff to expand the capacity and capability of the InTP team.
Under general guidance, the Assistant Director, InTP will;
- Assist the Director, InTP to develop, implement and manage Finance’s InTP capability, consistent with whole-of-government InTP guidance and standards, and Finance’s threat environment and risk profile,
- Assist in developing the InTP governance framework of policies, procedures, guidance and the monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) processes,
- Manage the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of Finance’s InTP capability, including financial management,
- Assist the Director, InTP to develop, implement and manage Finance’s InTP Training Education and Awareness strategy,
- Conduct preliminary and complex InTP investigations in accordance with Instruments of Appointment and Terms of Reference from the Chief Security Officer (CSO), and
- Represent Finance at whole-of-government and inter-departmental InTP fora.
