Details: WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the WHS Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation. It is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and associated legislation including dangerous substances, workers’ compensation, and Labour Hire Licensing.
We have an exciting permanent vacancy for a suitably skilled professional to fill the role of Assistant Director Strategic Coordination. In this role you will supervise a small team that provides expert advice to the Senior Leadership Team and inspectors in providing feedback to inform WorkSafe ACT’s position at local and national fora.
The successful candidate will have high-level experience in analysing and understanding complex data, recommending options, and preparing high quality reports, supporting documents and briefing.
You will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including other WHS regulators and Safe Work Australia, to identify strategic activities and directions that align with WorkSafe ACT’s objectives.
