An exciting opportunity is available for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:
- Preparing and contributing to month end financial reports
- Conducting reconciliations of the balance sheet and profit & loss statements
- Assisting in the preparation of analyses to compare actual results against budgeted figures
- Facilitating the annual financial report preparation and collaborating with external audit partners
- Assisting in ensuring tax compliance, including filing for Payroll, BAS, PAYG, and FBT
- Liaising with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Implementing improvements in the processes and systems
- Undertaking various ad hoc tasks as required by management
To be considered for this role you will have at least 3-4years' experience working in an Assistant Accountant role within a medium-large organisation, and ideally studying towards a CPA/CA. You will also have excellent communication skills, be an analytical thinker and a team leader with high attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a collaborative and committed team.
