Distillery Road Market is looking for motivated, passionate, energetic, and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our growing team working across a variety of our onsite venues.
Situated half-way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Distillery Road Market is the region’s newest food and entertainment hub, boasting weekend markets, events and live entertainment.
We are home to the newly opened Perentie Brewing Co, housing the Perentie Kitchen, taphouse Bar and Beer Garden as well as Kiwanda Cafe, and food outlets - Sugar Creek Smokehouse, Posadas Cantina, Wing It, Slice It and more to come.
The Role
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role is hands-on, assisting with the day-to-day running of the venues within the precinct. The role works across all aspects of food and beverage service with a focus on exceptional customer experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Bars preparation, opening, daily operations and closing processes
- Ensuring that hygiene, health, safety, and security rules are adhered to
- The responsible service of alcohol
- Overseeing POS and ordering systems
- Process and procedure development
- Roster and timesheet management
- Operational and sales reporting
- Budget, cost efficiency and stock management
- Employee training and development
- Employee health, safety monitoring and reporting

Required skills and experience:
- A strong food and beverage background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- A current RMLV certificate
- Highly developed knowledge of hospitality best practice methods, procedures and workplace health and safety
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays
- Proven ability to lead and motivate team members
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing environments
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
