This is a Permanent Full Time or Permanent Part Time appointment, at minimum 0.5 FTE (Full Time Equivalent).
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic applicants for the role of the Assistant in Nursing.
The position assists with the provision of delegated nursing tasks to patients and clinical support services within a nursing team and within demonstrated competencies under the direction of a Registered Nurse.In undertaking the role of this position, the occupant will need to recognise that there is a commitment to focussing on the needs of the individual, their families, carers or advocates working in partnership for better health outcomes.

Next Step is the leading government drug and alcohol treatment service in Western Australia providing a range of clinical services. The treatment services provided by Next Step include:
- The Inpatient Withdrawal Unit at East Perth
- Outpatient services at East Perth and via integrated Community Alcohol and Drug Services at six metropolitan locations
- An onsite pharmacy service based at East Perth
- Outpatient and inpatient youth services via the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Youth Service
- Community programs including the Community Pharmacotherapy Program and the Clinical Advisory Service

About you
- Applicants must possess permanent residency visa or Australian Citizenship.
- Applicants must possess a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance, with specification "acute care" or evidence of equivalent qualification.
- Applicants must be fully flexible to work any shifts and all shift types (day shift, afternoon shift and night shift) as rostered to meet operational need of 24/7 service provision.
About your application
- Is required to include evidence of certificate III in Health Services Assistance, with articulation on the transcript (certification) including "This qualification includes the recommended elective skill set in assisting in Nursing work in acute care" or equivalent. (Certificate attached).
- Is required to provide a response to selection criteria 2 and 6 of the position as outlined in the JDF (maximum of 2 pages),
- Is required to include a CV outlining your employment history and achievements relevant to this position (maximum of 4 pages).
