Coastal Orthopaedics is a progressive, dynamic practice with a mission to provide the most outstanding orthopaedic care and patient experience in WA. With a practice of twelve surgeons who continue to contribute to the public health system through their work in public hospitals, teaching appointments and research teams, we consult and operate at sites across metro and regional WA, anchored in our beautiful Claremont and Murdoch rooms. We now have the opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join our team supporting one of our surgeons in a one to one capacity.

Typical daily responsibilities include:
- Supporting your surgeon as the conduit of communications, assisting with the management of workflows and releasing them to spend time with patients
- Liaising with patients, referrers, hospitals, insurers, ADF and other stakeholders
- Coordinating patient appointments, preparing for and managing clinics
- Booking surgeries including scheduling, providing information to patients, preparing insurer approval requests, booking anaesthetists and assistant surgeons, and liaising with hospitals
- Coordination of typing services to ensure turnaround times are met
- Working with our outsourced billers to ensure all procedures are accurately invoiced

- Ideally an understanding of private consulting and surgical processes; orthopaedics is obviously an advantage
- Strong database or practice management software experience, ideally Genie
- Flexibility to work from multiple sites (our surgeon consults across a number of sites including both our Bethesda and Murdoch Square rooms)
- Excellent word processing and MS Office skills
