Assistant Project Officer - Aboriginal Outcomes, Court Services - CT&SD
Location - Sydney CBD with access to hybrid working arrangements
Ongoing - Full Time
Clerk Grade 5/6 - Salary $93,295 - $102,941 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

What you'll do
The Assistant Project Officer supports the Manager Aboriginal Outcomes to successfully deliver on the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Aboriginal outcomes strategy and other DCJ business objectives targeting Aboriginal people, communities and businesses.
The role undertakes a range of research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of complex Aboriginal Outcomes projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.
What we're looking for

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with the Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to successfully deliver projects
  • Experience providing project and operational support, monitoring and reporting on project plans milestones and deliverables
  • The capacity to undertake basic research and analysis to contribute to the preparation of project briefs
  • Experience providing a range of secretariat and administrative services including coordinating committee meetings and preparing papers
  • The capacity to manage your workload, prioritise and meet tight deadlines with competing demands and priorities
Key knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated cultural capability, knowledge and understanding of contemporary social issues affecting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, including skills in identifying and/or responding to the diverse needs of Aboriginal people experiencing significant trauma and disadvantage
Essential requirements
  • Strong communication skills. Able to liaise effectively with members of the judiciary, self-represented accused persons and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient running of the court.
