The role
Reporting to the Principal Finance Officer, Financial Accounting. Your role will provide specialist advice, guidance to Management and key Stakeholders in relation to operational and acapital financial accounting matters.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge of, and recent experience in contributing to, the practical application of Australian Accounting Standards, Financial Reporting Requirements for Queensland Government Agencies, legislation, contemporary financial management practices and policies.
- Demonstrated experience in assisting in the preparation of comprehensive and well-rounded advice to management and other stakeholders and in assisting with the review of policies, procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
- Demonstrated involvement and success in the contribution to continuous improvement programs and initiatives in the areas of operational financial accounting, with demonstrated ability to work within and thrive in successful teams.
- Demonstrated experience in the proficient use of contemporary financial management information technology, together with experience in the research, review, interpretation, and analysis of information to assist in formulating recommendations and reports to management.
- Demonstrates high level communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills, with proven experience collaborating with other team members.
- Demonstrates ability to successfully deliver a range of activities and projects within tight and conflicting timeframes and deadlines.
- Demonstrates autonomy and flexibility in response to change and supports the workforce to embrace new expectations through clarity of the intended outcomes.
