ABOUT THE ROLE:
Hotel Rose Bay is looking for a highly experienced, professional Assistant Venue Manager to join our management team and to help lead the front-of-house staff at the venue.
As Assistant Venue Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Helping to run a profitable & efficient operation;
- Leading & managing the front-of-house team;
- Developing & implementing superior service standards that consistently exceed guest expectations;
- Working with senior managers on business planning;
- Staff motivation & building team culture;
- Training, developing & coaching food & beverage staff;
- Stock control & management, including purchasing;
- Succession planning programs that focus on staff development & progression;
- Assisting with financial management, including cost-control;
- Implementing systems & processes to ensure the smooth running of the venue;
- Managing the reservations systems, including taking bookings & greeting/seating guests;
- Ensuring the venue is compliant with health regulations & that cleaning & WHS is a focus for all workers.
Full-Time Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
ABOUT YOU:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity as Assistant Venue Manager at Hotel Rose Bay, you will need to be/have:
- Hospitality management training/qualifications (preferred)
- At least 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience at minimum Assistant Manager level
- Experience in a similar drinking/dining/restaurant/pub venue
- Demonstrated leadership & management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong business & financial acumen
- A driven & results-focused attitude
- Comprehensive food & beverage knowledge
- Sound knowledge of all WHS requirements/regulations
- The ability to motivate the team
