As the Associate Director of the AI Product and Platform operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the AI Messaging and AI Voice product portfolio, to drive the success of the channels to meet financial, tNPS, technical health and customer brand-choice metrics. You will lead a team of product managers (business and technical) and cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, data, sales, and customer support, to ensure the successful development, launch, and continuous improvement of our Products and channels. You will also spend a great proportion of your time with stakeholders across Customer Success, Product, Business and external partners. Your strategic execution, strong business and technical leadership, and market insights will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's customer experiences and grow affinity internally and externally with the Optus brand. Being responsible for the portfolio, you will be required to lead the outcomes (commercial and customer) of the Products and initiatives and the technical product and Platform health of the AI products in messaging and voice. In addition, strategic vision around the next evolution of these channels for example, proactive virtual agent messaging will be part of the role.
The day to day
Develop and direct the roadmap of the AI Messaging and AI Voice Channels and Products, including the strategy and broader alignment with the Optus Strategy to become the most loved everyday brand, with lasting customer relationships.
Direct a portfolio of initiatives and products, and ensure the roadmap of allocated initiatives clearly delivers business and customer value, in line with FY24 AOP, and a 3-year strategy.
Establish and lead the strategic technical health direction of the voice and messaging channels.
Responsible for commercial benefits tracking and costs to land net-positive benefits across Optus including for Business and Consumer use of the channels.
Ownership and prioritization of the AI Products Channels and Platform.
Provide strategic guidance and input for the AOP development and execution.
Provide quarterly business review of the Portfolio and ensure committed AOP/EPMO benefits.
Drive technical and channel thought leadership and develop AI powered experiences for Optus customers and employees.
Drive Optus to be a digital leader in seamless innovative digital service and sales
Influence and drive collaboration across various functions to promote digital first ethos.
What makes you perfect for the role?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience (8+ years) in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing a diverse product portfolio.
Proven experience in leading AI product development and Platform Operations.
Strong understanding of technology, platform management, machine learning algorithms, data processing, and model deployment.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to balance technical expertise with strategic thinking and business acumen.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
