About the role
As a part of the Public Service Commission’s (PSC) Management Board and Senior Leadership Team, you will report to the NSW Public Service Commissioner and will be central to shaping the employment experience and people-based service delivery, programs and strategies at the PSC.
We are seeking a leader who has the enthusiasm and tenacity to build on our success while driving a focus on innovation, collaboration, and performance to deliver excellence in our People & Engagement team. You are a strategic thinking HR professional who is a natural business partner capable of providing advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on a wide variety of workplace and workforce related matters. At the same time, you are also someone comfortable with day to day operational delivery. This role will be instrumental in delivering the PSC’s Strategic People Plan and implementing the accompanying program of work.
The successful applicant will have strong problem-solving skills, be a clear communicator, an effective collaborator across all areas of the PSC and the sector, as well as be able to think and operate independently when required.

About the Public Service Commission
The PSC is headed by an independent Public Service Commissioner and is a separate agency under the Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (GSE Act) that supports the Commissioner in exercising their functions and powers.
The PSC leads the design, development, and implementation of the full range of workforce management strategies - including workforce capability, recruitment and assessment, performance management, and strategic workforce planning - to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the NSW public sector workforce.
