Salary: RN/M2A $97,420 - $104,154 p.a. (Pro-rata)
Permanent Full-Time position (part time hours to be considered), working over a 7 day roster
In this pivotal management position, you will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses within the Millicent Sheoak Lodge Aged Care. Promoting continuity and consistency of care, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management, financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Utilising your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. You will demonstrate a commitment to keeping up to date with, implementing and monitoring evidence-based practice and quality management initiatives. Your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will equip you to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements.
