The Older Persons Mental Health Service are looking for their next Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their busy and rewarding Community Mental Health Team.
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will use your knowledge and experience to coordinating the care of an assigned group of clients (65+) with mental health disorders.
About the Role:
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, your duties may include:
- Comprehensive assessments, care planning and relapse prevention planning.
- Risk assessment and risk mitigation.
- Provides psychological therapies and support to clients
- Works in collaboration with clients their carer’s, families and other care providers and GP’s.
- Collaboration with and participation in a multidisciplinary team, by providing nursing expertise
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate
- Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
- At least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
