The Nurse Consultant will provide service and peer leadership in line with the Division RAP purpose and impact, promoting the values within the Divisional Way for every patient, family and colleague encounter.
About the Role:
As the Nurse Consultant for Quality, Safety and Risk Systems Facilitator, your duties may include:
- Facilitating and leading the improvement of systems and processes which contribute to patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Supporting innovative approaches to the delivery of safe healthcare through quality improvement activities and projects.
- Working with Divisional Services and professional groups to encourage and support the implementation of programs that improve patient safety, quality, and risk management of clinical care.
- Contributing to the development of a generative patient safety culture in the Network and the development and implementation of the Divisional and Network’s Strategic Safety & Quality Plans.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who hold a current practicing certificate
- At least 3 years clinical experience, post registration, as a registered nurse
- Demonstrated experience in management and leadership roles.
- Experience in the preparation and/or maintenance of quality systems associated with organisation accreditation or certification requirements Australian National Safety and Quality Health Commission.
