The role includes managing a diverse portfolio, implementing whole school operational and strategic processes, with particular responsibility for the students with learning support needs from Years 7-12, fostering an inclusive and integrated environment. The capacity to effectively lead crucial elements of both the Education Support Program and mainstream school setting is an integral component of this position. The successful applicant will have oversight of lower school programs, ensuring optimal conditions for student success and pathway progression. The successful applicant should work in a culturally responsive and context specific manner, productively engaging community stakeholders and service providers to improve student outcomes.The successful applicant will ideally have a deep understanding of quality teaching, learning and assessment, reflecting on contemporary pedagogical practices and effective use of data analysis. They should be able to lead strategies to support the development of staff in meeting performance expectations, implementing accountability mechanisms including targeted action plans, improvement timelines, and review cycles. Importantly, the successful applicant should display expertise and leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of systemic and sustainable schoolwide literacy and numeracy action plans that ensure that students have the academic skills necessary to be successful at school, at work, and in further education.The successful applicant will ideally enhance a performance and development culture. They should display an understanding of coaching practises with both beginning and experienced teachers and provide targeted professional learning to develop the capacity of others across all areas of the school, including non-teaching staff.Other highly desirable skills include the ability to undertake a variety of high-level school operations including timetabling, RTP SEN Reporting, Disability Resourcing, and curriculum development. A thorough understanding of relevant policies and processes will be highly regarded.This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
• Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
• Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
