We have a rare opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our growing Commercial Disputes & Insolvency team. You will work with Shane Williamson in our Brisbane office but will assist our team nationally as required. We would be pleased to offer hybrid and/or part remote work for the right candidate, reflecting the nimble and nationally collaborative environment which you will join.
About the team and the work
Join a collegiate team of experienced litigators acting for a range of public and private corporations, government authorities, SMEs and individuals engaged in a broad range of commercial disputes nationally
Advise and represent clients from SMEs to institutions across a range of disputes, including general contractual disputes, Corporations Act issues, property disputes (including planning and environment disputes, land resumption and compensation disputes), defamation and personal and corporate insolvency. We do a very broad range of interesting litigation work
You will have access direct to clients and will be involved in all aspects of a multitude matters. You will appear regularly to instruct (and advocate to the extent comfortable) in State and Federal courts
You will have the opportunity to work on secondment from time to time with major clients on interesting matters although it is not a requirement that you do so

About you
You will be pragmatic, proactive, solutions-focused and have 3 to 6 years' experience in a well-regarded Commercial Litigation and/or insolvency practice
You will value a relaxed and collegiate environment with flexibility.
Strong Academic qualifications are essential for this role as well as superior written and verbal communication skills
You will be interacting with clients directly and must be capable of working autonomously whilst also collaborating with your team
