The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for planning, initiating and leading assurance activities across Ahpra’s operational areas as part of the National Quality Assurance program.
This is a full time permanent role – hours of work are flexible. This role can be located in Melbourne or Perth
Please note this is not an IT systems testing QA role.
About you
First and foremost, you are a strong team member with advanced interpersonal skills – this is a team that epitomises trust, respect, collaboration, honesty and welcomes different perspectives. That said, the ability to work autonomously is critical along with the ability to maintain motivation. You have exceptional problem solving skills and analytical skills. You have tertiary qualifications; or Diploma of Quality Auditing and/or strong experience across Internal Audit or Quality Assurance and a willingness to share your knowledge.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills to help you establish and maintain effective working relationship with key stakeholders across the organisation.
In this role you will:
- Complement risk management activities by taking proactive and preventive action to reduce risks and drive continuous improvement
- Undertake quality assurance activities as second line assurance for Ahpra, as part of its three lines assurance model.
- Follow up and maintain a register of recommendations and actions arising from national quality assurance reviews and internal audit actions.
- Support the development, implementation, review and update of processes and procedures to enable delivery of quality assurance activities and to ensure consistency and quality outcomes.
