AuScope Limited is Australia's not-for-profit research infrastructure supporting earth and geospatial science research. We are seeking a National Geophysics Program Manager to help us manage and develop a national strategy across AuScope Geophysics Programs to better integrate our equipment pool, data assets, and instrument access programs.

Location: Flexible - AuScope HQ is based in Carlton, Vic, but colocation with another AuScope program office may also be possible.
Salary: Academic Level B equivalent
Tenure: Specified term of 24 months (renewable contingent on funding)
Flexible 0.6FTE – Full time
Your duties will include:- Work with the Earth Imaging Program Leader to provide strategic leadership across current and future AuScope Geophysics Programs regarding instrument acquisition and renewal, data acquisition, management, and delivery.
- Manage the ANSIR instrument pool and access process, ensuring equitable access to the AuScopeand ANSIR geophysics instruments.
- Work with the AuScope Director of Research Data Systems to ensure geophysical data sets collected using AuScope instruments meet international standards and accord with FAIR and CARE principles.
- Represent AuScope’s geophysics capability internally, nationally, and globally.
- Postgraduate qualification in geophysics, geology, or a related field.
- Strong geophysics fundamentals, including knowledge of data data management and instrument operation
You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, or you must hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa.
