The Role
The position fulfils a crucial role in the Maintenance Training and Licensing compliance assurance team; primarily responsible for providing continued surveillance, oversight and enforcement of approved military and contractor Maintenance Training Organisations, to assure compliance with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) 147.
Main duties for this position are:
- Initial approval of military and contractor Maintenance Training Organisations to assure compliance with DASR 147.
- Initial approval of new DASR 66 training courses, and approval of changes to existing DASR 66 training courses, delivered by a DASR 147.
- Providing expertise advice to the ADF, and Defence Industry on the interpretation and acceptable means of compliance to DASR 147.Develop updates and changes to the regulations within DASR 147
- Assists the DASR 66 assessing team in issuing and updating military aircraft maintenance licences to meet DCA's prescribed KPIs.
